I was assigned to do the apostolic works in Jacob's well, the home of 79 mentally ill women;  13 years old is the youngest and 104 years old is the oldest.  I washed and dressed the wounds of 3 residents.  I felt like washing the wounds of Jesus Crist.

We attended the mass officiated by Fr. Ambrose.

JOSIE' SEPTEMBER, 2013 JOURNAL-PHILIPPINES

9/03 TUESDAY

Every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m., the Rotary Club hold its meeting that includes a fellowship during the first hour, when all attendees have a chance to unwind and socialize with their fellow Rotarians. I intend to share this kind of fellowship with our Palm Coast Rotary Club in Florida.  The second hour is devoted to discussions of our local projects like street cleaning, tree planting, feeding the malnourished children in schools, etc.

9/05  THURSDAY

I went food shopping and bought a variety of fruits, e.g. papaya, pineapple, cantaloupe and carrots and squeezed them myself.

Here is a story of how I became a Rotarian and am proud to be one.

Here is a story of how I became a Rotarian and am proud to be one.

I became a Rotarian in 2006 when Rotarian Veronica Maggs Thornton showed her eagerness in helping me with Joy & Care-Giving Foundation, Inc. (JCGF), the foundation I founded.  Based in Flagler County Florida, JCGF has undertaken a mission of eradicating poverty in the Philippines through education.  In order to accomplish this , JCGF built St. Anthony Development & Learning Center so that children, who otherwise would not receive quality early childhood education, have the opportunity to attend school.

Josie To Visit Oprah In Chicago

on Tue, 08/20/2013 - 21:54

9/30/2010 Josie C. Garcia, founder of Joy & Care-Giving Foundation, a non-profit foundation, is looking for people interested in the education of the poor.  They built schools and libraries in the Philippines and their vision is to continue building schools inexpensively and be a model for the entire nation.  She and her friends left Florida to hopefully see Ms. Oprah on Monday, 10/4, to request Ms. Oprah to visit JCGF website to see that it is worth flashing on her screen asking for $1 annual donation from her viewers.  She will also sign a no phone zone.
